Teak Love Seat Giveaway

The Semi-Slacker home renovations are underway. One of the projects on Kenny & Shawn's To Do List includes turning the bonus room into a "mini man room" for Bo.

Seriously, how many 4 year olds do you know with a recliner & a futon in their room?

And let me just tell you, futons aren't what they used to be. CSNFutons has the cutest stuff! They carry everything from traditional to modern, wood to metal, chairs, covers, bean bags & the cutest kid's furniture ever! I have already picked out something for the girls.

Parent company, CSNStores would like to offer one of my lovely readers the cutest Teak Woodstock Love Seat ever! Perfect for outdoor summer entertaining!
This classic adirondack love seat was designed for comfort and built to last. This is the traditional design that will allow to seat two persons. Made to last with sturdy Meranti wood, you will ensure to have a long lasting love seat.

Here's how to win...

1-check out all the cool futons & tell me what you like.

2-follow me! If you already follow let me know.

3-blog about my giveaway!

4-post a link on your sidebar.

5-comment on a previous post & tell me which one.

A winner will be chosen by random on Monday, July 20th. Good luck!

Only the Semi-Slackers...

Last night, Retro & I went out to eat & the restaurant we went to had run out of food. Seriously. And it was only 7:45.

Apparently, they are closing for a month (new owners) & had a party that was larger than expected.

Luckily, the hostess turned us away at the door. But, we did see 2 different couples that we know, waiting to be served. We gave them the heads up before we left. I can't wait to hear if they ever got their food.

We ate at Longhorn's. And they were out of the dessert we wanted.
-------------------------------------------------------

Tomorrow, the grandmothers; Sassy; her BFF, Sweetie & I are off to Atlanta.

Our 1st stop will be at the Polo outlet. Our dress code has gotten rather strict this year & that means no sundresses for Sass, which is ALL she wears from like April to October. Seriously. I don't why we can't have uniforms.

Then it's off to Buckhead for Sass's 1 year check-up. I think I'll go ahead & get a estimate on the tummy tuck. We'll be renovating this house next.

But, the highlight of the day will be at our final destination. The America Girl Doll Store & Bistro. Woo-Hoo. The estimate from Dr. Jones may be cheaper.

Originally, Sass was planning to have her birthday party here with all of her little friends. (She starts planning for next year about a month before the current year's party.)

Okay. Here's the problem with that, we live like 2 hours away & I can't imagine going anywhere 2 hours away with more than 2 little girls in my car. And we'd end up having to invite like 10 of them.

Plus, driving to Alpharetta, eating lunch & emptying my wallet, then driving home on a Saturday does not sound like my kind of fun. I already have to go to Disney in September.

So we compromised. We're taking Sweetie with us tomorrow for an early party & have a slumber party on her birthday.

I wonder if Blue Cross & Blue Shield will be covering pot by the end of August.

*Stay tuned for a pretty cool giveaway sometime this week.*

Decorating Ideas?

I'm open to any & all suggestions on how I should paint, or rather have painted, Baby Girl's room . I'm kind of thinking about pink & green stripes, but I don't know. Her bed is white with a picket fence look & she has a bookshelf in the shape of a dollhouse that is currently white, but needs repainted. So give me all your ideas.

Bo & I are also having so issues on his room. It is NOT going to look like the Island of Sodor!!!

Friday Fragments

I've got some really random thoughts is week. Ya'll better hold on.

**I am a Q-tips snob. I love Q-tips, or cotton swabs rather, but I will only use Q-Tips brand.
If the Dollar General does not have them, go somewhere else.
I'm weird like that. Maybe they should let me do a commercial.

**Speaking of commercials, let me just say that there are two commercials on TV right now that I can not stand. Sonic & Subway. I don't like ANY of the Sonic commercials with that irritating man in the car. He grates on my nerves. And Subway, please, the rapping? white girl with all the tattoos does not make me want to run out & get a $5 foot long. Vomit, maybe. Where's Jarrod?

**I love Jennifer Aniston. I have been Team Jen since the whole home wrecker debacle. But I have to say...I'm not that into this

Bradley Cooper just doesn't do anything for me. But whatever makes her happy. I'm still hoping she & Vince Vaughn get back together...

**Does anyone know how I got BACK ON Enfamil's mailing list? Baby Girl is not a picky eater, but I don't think she'll go for formula. *I do have 2 pregnant friends that I can pass this along to.*

**Have ya'll read about this?

Apparently, the new stress reliever for Mommy's is smoking pot. Okay. It worked in college, right?

Some doctors are even approving of this & they will write you a note not a prescription, a note.

Please allow Semi-Slacker Mom to smoke pot,
because the Wellbutrin & the cocktails aren't working.

But the catch is, you have to buy it from the dealer yourself. I wonder if they're listed in the phone book?

I think I'll wait till in comes out in pill form.

**Then again, I do feel some extra stress coming on. We are having some housekeeper issues, some Disney trip issues & Kenny & Shawn (our builders on retainer) are coming Monday to start on some home renovations. But that is a story for another day.

**No earrings yet, but I'm thinking at the doctor's office after her 8 year check-up. 8 years. Hard to believe.

Today's Lesson

Today in Milk & Macaroni Manners, Bo & the other children learned about TACT.

I might should have sat in on that one.

A Thousand Word Thursday

This is one of the things that Bo is learning this week. I received this sweet thank you note in the mailbox today.

And here's the story behind the buns. Bo loves bread! Plain bread.

One of his favorite types of bread is hot dog buns. It has become a major issue in our house, especially when I want to fix hot dogs for a meal.

He must be trying to butter me up with this sweet note.

It worked.
